Hey Bayview Mack Sailors — it’s time to dust off your weather forecasting skills!

Getting to the Island quickly and safely depends on understanding the weather conditions you’ll experience along the way. With the best race on the Great Lakes just two weeks away, it’s time to refresh your sources of marine weather information and start practicing your forecasting.

There are many resources on my website to make the process easier:

Managing Your Mack Forecast, a page describing where to find and how to use a variety of weather forecasting resources —

— Weather Forecasts – daily forecasts will begin on Monday, July 11, 2022, at
http://www.lakeeriewx.com/Racing/BYC/BYCForecast.html

— Weather Briefing – this year’s weather briefings will be virtual. A full video briefing will be posted on Friday afternoon, followed by a short video update on Saturday morning. Both briefings will be available at
http://www.lakeeriewx.com/Racing/BYC/BYCForecast.html

The above links will also be available on the official race website at www.bycmack.com, under the Competitors tab, under the Official Board header, Weather Information.
